Her work consists of a performance style that is raw and unfiltered, which lends itself to observe both how the limits of her voice works, but also the limits of the audience. Are they uncomfortable? Do they need to be pushed more?
Some of the themes that she explores through her work are disgust, fear, anxiety, depravity, and all the animalistic feelings we wish to hide away in our contemporary bodies. She enjoys approaching these themes through her medium of her voice, to create sonic textures, heavy breathing, grunting, moaning, growling, and screaming. She uses her voice also as a medium to create stories, often featuring anthropomorphic animals. She also enjoys writing, and guerrilla video-art making. You can find her burrowing around different underground scenes, and nestled between absurdity and naivety.
Some of her current & previous muscial projects include:
Burchhhha is her on stage persona during which she performs semi-improvistational electronic breakbeat pop-noise for anyone who wants to bang their head. For this project she has been feature in Glamcult Magazine #143 as apart of the Amsterdam underground scene. Some notiable performances of hers are Luksfery Festival 2025 in Gdynia, Poland, Soam London, Vorspiel x Silencio Art Laboratory, Transmediale Berlin and SOTU NOISE Tanker in de Noord in Amsterdam.
Supermarkt (no longer active) a noise rock/dance punk project, which was featured in Girls to the Front Vol.2 Compliation album. Some notiable performances were in Paradiso, Vera, Skatecafe, Melkweg, and Worm Rotterdam.
Mxchxxl is her duo with Benjamin van Dijk, an experimental improv based Grindcore/Krautrock band. Consisting of drums, baritone guitar and vocals. They explore themes of mice, fecal matter, pirates, spys, and identity. Some notiable performances are OCCII in Amsterdam, Traumburg Festival in Schloss Dornburg an der Elbe, and Slagroom in Den Haag.
She is involved in the diy scene in Amsterdam, and organises events with her collective, Fufillment Music Center in OCCII and other diy venues such as vondelbunker, as well as running her own event series Kino for Your Ears in Ventilator Cinema in OT301.
She djs on the dance floor and on the radio, with a unique hybrid style between laptop, cds, and usb.
